Martwayne's Fashion Events & Fashion Courses in October 2015!

:-D :-D :-D

Hello Good People!!!!!!!!  It's the last quarter of the year!!!

And what better way to start off this last quarter with an absolutely FAB-looking picture of myself!!! Haha!!!  Forgive me but I have been tripping over myself since I saw this picture! :-D :-D :-D.  Not sure I can recall when last I looked so good.  Errrr...actually I can.  My wedding day! :-D  But that was the work of a make up artist and a hair stylist.  This I did all by myself!  Not bad right?!  Yes!  I think the photographer actually did an amazing job as well!  And for this I say a public "THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for your patience Anthony!!!!"  The picture looks FAB!

SO anywayz.... enough of my ooh-ing and aah-ing...

YES It is the last quarter of the year and I know many of us are yet to tick off all the to-do list on our 2015 Resolutions.  Now is not the time to start winding down.  NOW is the time to start gearing up for 2016!   3 WHOLE MONTHS is more than enough time to still deliver on our 2015 Resolutions! :-D

And of course, we, at Martwayne, are here with great programs, events and courses to help you through this last quarter of the year, in preparation for 2016! :-D

And our first event in October is....  (Drumroll please....) our FREE (yes I did say freePEP TALK on:

"How to Start Your Own Ready-To-Wear Clothing Line!"  :-D

NOW before I even delve in to the Courses, let me first wish those who are not on my other social media platforms a Happy Sallah & Happy Independence Day in arrears!  I am pretty sure it was a welcome break for many of us!  I am so looking forward to the next public holiday already...

But now it's back to the grind and as this picture rightly states, it is up to us to make October and indeed the last quarter of the year absolutely awesome!

Like I said earlier, many of us might already be on that wind-down mode.... already thinking of postponing stuff till 2016 because "the year is almost over, what else can be done this year".  Sound familiar?!  It probably does!  You probably said the same thing last week, last month and even last year!  And look how far that got you!

So really... now is not the time to push things forward again.  Else we'll be back at this same spot this time next year!  We probably have enough things on our 2015 Resolutions list we have not yet delivered on.  So rather than postpone them till 2016 again, let's list them out again and see how we can still achieve them this year!

First on the list is "to become a fashion designer"... or for those who already have started their fashion business, "to start a ready to wear line".

And this is great!  So here we are helping you take that first tiny step by creating the following awesome and amazing event and courses to help you end this year on a very high note!  And the first on our list is our:

Well... to be honest it's not really a pep talk.  We just called it that because it sounded nice!  So let's just call it "Fashion Talk"! :-D

It's like a 3-4 hour event and we have great speakers who will teach us how to start off, right from the transition, to setting up a production unit, to marketing.  I, for one, am looking forward to this because I know I will learn a lot from those who have succeeded in this field and you should be here as well!

This happens on Saturday, 17th October, 2015 at 12 noon!

More details of this in another post!

But anywayz... here are the dates of our October events.  You need to mark them down in your diary!

1.  "Fashion Talk" on Starting a Ready-To-Wear Clothing Line - 17 October, 2015

Since this is a free event and we need to control the numbers, interested participants have to register ahead of time.  Details of the Venue will only be disclosed to registered participants.

Just in case I don't get the flyer up on time, to register please send the following by SMS only on or before Thursday, 15 October, 2015 to 0809 787 6075:

"Fashion Talk", Your Full Name & E-Mail address.

To enable us track all interested participants, we need all registrations to be confirmed through one route only so please no Blackberry messages, e-mails, calls or WhatsApp messages.

Of course you can make enquiries through these means but venue details will only be communicated to those who register via the SMS route.

And yes, the venue is in Lagos! :-D

2.  Short Course in Jacket-Making & Trousers - 26 October, 2015.

(Last year, I was told we ran the Course too close to the end of the year so I am making sure this does not happen this year!)  All registration details will be uploaded in a separate post!

3.  Fashion Illustration with Computer-Aided Design - 26 October, 2015.

Yes, this Course is brand new!  And I can safely tell you it will be totally worth it!  We will also run a separate post on this!

As always, registrations for our Beginners Course and our Bodices Course will be open throughout the quarter (except of course December).  So you can always register for these and we will run your timetable for you.

Do watch out for all the flyers coming up soon.

I'll leave you now with this image to psyche you up this last quarter of the year.

It is up to you to make this last quarter count!  And I am absolutely certain we will all have great stories to tell at the end of 2015 by God's grace!

Have a blessed month and a FABULOUS quarter!

Cheers!

  2. Hello Anonymous,

Yes it is genuine and we have started interviews already. If you have not been contacted, it is probably due to the fact that we received it late. The first screening process ended last Friday after a review of the CVs we got and interviews started on Tuesday.

Since you sent in this message as Anonymous, I cannot check. But do send a mail to the e-mail address provided again and I will check and forward to the personnel handling the screening. You will be contacted if you pass the screening.

    Many thanks.

  3. Hello. I am interested in both the fashion illustration course and the CAD course and wouldn't mind running both simultaneously. Please when is the starting date for both? Thanks.

    1. Hello Ann,

Thank you. Fashion Illustration is included in the CAD course. You will be taught how to draw and how to use CAD to bring the illustration to life.

We plan to start next week Monday. We are having challenges with getting the flyer out early. Just sorting out one or two modalities. It, however, is available only as a weekday option and classes will be twice a week.

The fees will be N85,000 and this includes the tablet you will use for the Course and the software and everything else you need for the Course. All you need to do is bring yourself.

Please let me know if you have any question or you can please e-mail me on twilliams@martwayne.com - OR send me your e-mail and I will contact you.

      Many thanks.

    2. There are, however, other payment options available in case you have your tablet or you can already draw. But I would advise you to go for the whole package if you want the best from the Course.
