How to Tell Real Fabrics from the Fakes! Just a Fraction of What FEC3 is About.

So people have been asking me why I am running a course just for them to come and learn about how to choose colours and fabrics.  In fact many have stated they know all about this already.  Well the thing is I can tell you for free that the Course goes wayyyyyyyyyyyy beyond just learning how to choose and combine colours and fabrics.

What Happened @ Yaba College of Technology...

Right!  So I was @ Yaba Tech yesterday talking to students about what I know how to do best... Entrepreneurship. :-D  Well Fashion Entrepreneurship actually... but seeing I was talking to the Engineering students, I needed to go beyond just fashion and shared my experiences with them.  It was all part of the Entrepreneurship Week organized by the Center for Entrepreneurship Development of the Yaba College of Technology.

How did I become a mentor?!  Very strange story!

Haha!  Very strange topic right?!  Well I'd like to call it my "Did You Know" Facts about our Fashion Entrepreneurship Course, starting with Volume 3!

Ok... so first ignore the fact that the image on the right features dollars.  I know some peeps will harass me so I am waving my white flag now.  I couldn't find a similar image of someone holding naira notes.  So please focus on the message.  You know what they say... "idea is need"! :-D 

So anywayz... back to my message!  The "Discount-ed" Facts about our FECs!


Here goes...

- Did you know that if you register for the Fashion Entrepreneurship Course by Wednesday, 25 April, 2012, you get a 5% discount off the registration fees?!

- Did you know that as a previous FEC participant or current or past Martwayne student, you get an extra 5% off the course fees?!

- Did you know that all you need do is deduct your discount and pay the balance of the discount into the account and come with evidence on the day of the Course?!

- Did you know that once you are in our system as a previous registrant at any of our courses, you are entitled to 5% discount automatically on future Fashion Entrepreneurship Courses?!  

- Did you know that if you refer a friend for our Fashion Entrepreneurship Courses, you get an extra 5% off the fees?!


SO this means if you are on our database as a student, you register by Wednesday, 25 April, 2012 and you have evidence that you have referred a friend, you get your 5% discount off the Course Fees! 10% before you pay into the account and your 5% referral refund will be given in cash on the day of the FEC (or can be carried forward to future FECs) but only after you provide evidence of your referrals.  Not bad eh?! 


Haha! No wait... hold up!  That's not all!  There's more... ;-D

What Happened @ the Creative Business Expo 2012...

Hello everyone!!!  Hope you all had a great weekend!!!  I had an excellent one and now I am back in full swing ready to face FEC 3 on Saturday!  I finally fixed my laptop screen thank goodness!  I didn't know I had to "jack" the manual to be able to make the easy transition from a Windows to a Mac but it takes getting used to I guess.  But anywayz, here I am!  Hope you all are making preparations to register before Wednesday for FEC 3.

So yes!  The Creative Business Expo which happened last Thursday & Friday @ the Whitespace!  Excellent event!  I really must commend Dumebi of The Bulb Ideas Ltd. for such a great initiative.  Though I was a speaker, I also learnt a lot!  And I met enough interesting people...  Makes for great networking!  PLUS!  There was enough to eat (free food at a free event!) - light fingerfoods and cupcakes and free make-up! :-D

What Happened @ Headroom...

I cannot believe I have not written about Headroom!!!  Almost a month and I have not written about the event that had the greatest impact on me in March in more ways than you can ever imagine???!!!    Seriously I deserve to be flogged!  But at least I'm doing so now... guess that's all that counts! ;-)  Easy on the whip now... my skin is tender!  :-D

SO YES!  Headroom!  Wow... where do I even start from???!!!  I guess the beginning would be a good idea...

Yes!  I am doing things just a tad bit differently and launching Volume 3 of the Fashion Entrepreneurship Course even though my flyer is not ready yet.  Long story but hopefully... it should be soon enough.  But seeing time waits for no man and I am about to send out mails advertising this Course, I thought I should let you guys know about it first!

SO!  What are we discussing this month?!  Yup!  The heading says it all!  Colours & Fabrics!

Hello People!!!  Apologies!  Apologies!! Apologies!!!!  Yes I know it's been a while since I updated this blog.  No major excuses really... well at least none between my last post and Thursday.  But from Friday evening, I decided to take a much deserved break from work.  I realized I needed to rest so did nothing but sleep and hang out with a friend.  Sometimes, it is important to remind ourselves that we really are not super-human and everyone needs a break to recoup.

So yes I'm back now!  Completely refreshed with a desk full of work I don't even want to think about but @ least ready to tackle my next phase of tasks.  My next pressing issue really is the launch of the Production Center (I'll tell you all about this in the next post) and the Fashion Entrepreneurship Course 3. I'll give you details shortly... 

Hope you all enjoyed the Easter break!  If you didn't get any Easter Egg, feel free to share my cake with me.  I bought this for my staff on Tuesday I think... just to cheer them up.  They were really discouraged after a few set backs we had and I felt the need to ensure they didn't remain in that state for long.  And it worked!  Check out the pictures... :-D
