Learn How to Sew & Turn Your Love for Fashion into Wearable Garments!

Stunning image right?!  I thought so too!  I love it to bits and wish I could use it to advertise ALL my courses!  ;-D

Great!  So... here's me formally launching our Basic Course in Pattern Making & Garment Construction (MBC) for those who would LOVE to "Learn How to Sew & Turn their Love for Fashion into Wearable Garments"!   Classes begin on Friday, 29 June 2012.

Remember I mentioned I went into fashion because I was tired of my tailor wrecking my clothes?!  I decided to learn it, not necessarily because I wanted to run a business then but just so I could come back to teach her to sew fab garments for me!

So if you are at the stage I was back then (and I know many of you are) and would love to learn how to sew, not necessarily to run a full-blown business but so you can churn out clothes for yourself, close family members and friends, then this course is PERFECT for you.

The MBC is in modules and levels and is suitable for anyone, male or female, who would love to get their teeth into fashion.  Level 1a will run for 6 weeks thereabouts (excluding breaks) and classes are on Fridays only from 3pm to 7pm at the Martwayne Training Center in Surulere, Lagos.  Once you are done with Level 1a and have submitted all deliverables, including all assignments (yes I dish out assignments which must be handed in :-D), then you move on to the next level.

Registration Details:

Fees for Level 1a are N27,500.  There is also an additional one-off fee of N7,500 for the tools required which will be for your own use during the Course.  Don't worry the tools belong to you and you can use them over and over again and begin to build your tool kit from there.

To secure your seat on the Course, all you need to do is pay the course and equipment fees into the "Martwayne Dynamiques" account, Number 101 223 3897 at any Zenith Bank Branch!   And if you miss the start date of 29 June, don't worry, registration continues till 13 July and we will definitely catch you up on all missed work.  But after this date, then you would have to wait till the next batch.  Easy right!  Thanks!  I'm glad you think so too! ;-D

SO if you are a student, young graduate, housewife, school teacher or worker who closes early on Fridays (and I know you do), then sign up for the course.  Trust me, the buzz you get from creating a garment or learning the skill is like no other feeling!

And don't worry about the fact that you have no clue how to thread a machine.  I couldn't either when I went into fashion and look at me now...(ok forget the fact that I learnt all I know in 3 years full time and more...).  BUT the point is... we start from scratch!  And tell you what... if the nine-year olds I trained at the John 3v3 Junior Fashion School can sew (and you can see their picture on the right side of the screen modeling their skirts), then so can you!

So hit us up on 0809 787 6075 / 0813 298 7824 / 0819 142 0983 or send a mail to twilliams@martwayne.com to get more details on the Course.  You can also chat to me via Blackberry: PIN 296CB9FD.

I look forward to welcoming you onto the Course.

Cheers!

  1. Sounds interesting, been wanting to learn forever. I even have a sewing machine that has not been used. Two things though; I already have a starter kit, and might travel before the end of the programme. So what happens? Can the remaining classes be deferred?
